The Gathering – Albion Hills – FAQs

What should I pack? Check the forecast and bring all essential camping gear for any weather, including rain. Bugs season is upon us so bring your spray and please leave your firewood at home as there will be some available for purchase at the OverlandNTH Merch Tent. 100% of the proceeds from woo
sold at The Gathering will be donated to Wounded Warriors Canada.

Can we have our own fires? At your site, you may have a fire, but fires CANNOT be on the ground and MUST be contained in a raised fire bowl. Firewood is available for purchase at the OverlandNTH Merch Tent, and we ask that you do NOT bring wood with you to prevent the spread of invasive species. There will be fires spread throughout the site that the OverlandNTH Team will tend to provide warmth, comfort and a place to gather and build community.

Will there be chairs at clinics? Some picnic tables will be available, but we strongly recommend that you come prepared with your camping chair for hanging out and for the clinics.

Can I bring my alcohol to The Gathering? Yes, you may bring your own alcohol to the event, but it must remain on your assigned camping site as this is permitted at the campground.

If I go on the self-guided off-road drive, do I need recovery gear? YES, it’s recommended, as are a minimum of 33” tires and going with others should you find yourself in a “sticky” situation.

Albion Hills is known for mountain biking; should I bring mine? Absolutely! Albion has fantastic trails, and it has experiences for all skill levels.

For yoga on Saturday, do I need to bring a mat?  Yes, please pack your yoga mat, towel and water, as these will not be supplied.

Is The Gathering dog friendly? We are dog-friendly but dogs must be leashed at all times during the event. We also ask that if you bring your dog that it is comfortable with larger crowds, noise and other dogs. Let’s face it, you don’t want your dog barking all weekend, and neither does your neighbour. Who needs the stress?

Will there be running water and toilets? Yes, there is potable water available at the site (see map), and there are toilets throughout the camping area. Showers are not available, so please plan accordingly.

Music is a big part of The Gathering, should I bring my guitar? We encourage it and always look forward to a fireside jam! The park does have quiet hours after 11 pm so we ask that this rule be respected. We all want to be fresh as a daisy on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Can I fly my drone at the event? NO! There are no drones allowed to be flown at the event, as this is a park policy and is strictly enforced. If you are seen to be flying a drone, you will be asked to leave the premises and will not receive a refund.

Can I use a gas generator at my site? No! Gas generators can only be used in the exhibitor area and by OverlandNTH staff to support the clinics, feast and concerts each night.

Is there shore power onsite? There isn’t power available onsite.

What if someone is being inconsiderate of others and their behaviour is inappropriate? We encourage our community to interact positively with one another and believe people will conduct themselves accordingly. We are a family-friendly event about enriching each other’s lives through our love of travel, the outdoors, and motorsports. Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and passholders will be asked to leave by OverlandNTH Staff or TRCA staff should it be deemed appropriate. In other words, be calm and chill, Winston! The world is filled with challenging situations, so let’s just have a fun, respectful and inclusive time at The Gathering!
