The Rally - Muskoka 2024

Join Us!! For the 5th time OverlandNTH is excited to present  “The Rally – Muskoka”. Enjoy 2 nights of camping starting in Huntsville ON before hitting the road on Saturday traveling to Haliburton Forest!

The Rally – Muskoka 2024 is an excellent opportunity to meet many like-minded overlanders and gain ideas for your personal build or next adventure. We have seen friendships blossom and grow at our events and we can’t wait to add to the OverlandNTH family this June!

Enjoy 2 nights of camping starting on Deerhurst Resort’s decommissioned runway in the heart of Muskoka’s rugged wilderness, before traveling to Haliburton Forest and camping in this unique location. Bring your rig and show off your kit while sharing what you’ve learned throughout your build experiences and travels. Overlanders will enjoy their own campsite area providing ample space for rigs and tents.

This event is family-friendly, so please bring your spouse, kids, dog, and uncle. Whoever, just be respectful. We will have different vibes set up along the runway, so if late-night stories are what you want, we got you! If quiet early sleep is the wish, we got you too! We have 3,000 feet to spread out and set up for our weekend away.

Please provision for your group with the necessary food, water and shelter. We are overlanders and will be helpful if needed, but you must be self-sufficient whenever possible while on the runway.

Toilets and hand-washing stations are provided, along with communal fire bowls and wood scattered throughout the event space for overlanders’ warmth and comfort. If you’ve joined us on the runway before, then you know these fires are the soul of the event. Bring your chairs and meet your new best friends.

Drinking water and showers are NOT provided so again, please come prepared. We encourage you to take advantage of the OverlandNTH room rate available at Deerhurst Resort on Sunday night.

Individual sites can’t be reserved, but should you be travelling with a group of 3 or more rigs and wish to be close to each other please contact us at info@overlandnth.ca and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. Any requests to be grouped together must be made more than 30 calendar days prior to the event. Within 30 days of the event we are no longer able to facilitate group camping requests (but you can arrange to arrive together and pick spots that are close to each other).

The event is happening rain or shine so be ready.

***Should you wish to be an exhibitor and sell your merchandise at the event please contact us at info@overlandnth.ca and a member of our team will be in touch!***

In our 5th installment of the event, we will be changing the format slightly to have more of an Overlanding drive focus where Overlanders will enjoy exploring regional roads, trails, and points of interest while traveling to Haliburton Forest. The route to Haliburton Forest is an overlanding route allowing for all types of vehicles to participate.

This self-guided route includes milder off-road elements and many amazing side roads and vistas. Challenge/game elements will be apart of the route creating a fun experience for the entire family.

We will be observing Tread Lightly principles and will be sure to be stewards of the land as we explore, leaving only tire tracks, and taking only pictures.

As shared above, The Rally is a family-friendly event. Kids and parents can enjoy riding bikes or playing lawn games. We encourage you to bring non-motorized bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc. You’ll understand why if you’ve spent a weekend on a runway.

We are excited to announce the return of the Soap Box Derby. This will be fun for the whole family. Winners will not only earn bragging rights, but they will also walk away with cash and some sweet prizes! Bet our cars are faster than yours…

Have fun with this. Wild and crazy builds are encouraged. The track is straight and has a gentle slope, but your car must have steering and brakes. Helmets are mandatory. This will occur Saturday afternoon and will have adult and kid divisions. No other rules apply other than gravity must be the only source of propulsion.

The Rigs

We will have a “show and shine” component for the second year. Let’s face it, who doesn’t love to show off their kit and earn some bragging rights simultaneously?

The winners of each category will walk away with some sweet prizes courtesy of our partners and sponsors!

Night Trek

Discover the treetops under a starry night sky where a headlamp and the North Star will lead the way!

Overlanders will have the unique opportunity to participate in this fun experience found onsite at the runway. There is an additional cost, and participants must be ages 12 and up. The experience is roughly 3 hours long with the group gathering at the Tree Top Trekking Centre at 6:30 pm on Friday and must be booked directly with Tree Top Trekking.

Live entertainment is a core component of the OverlandNTH experience! Come prepared to enjoy some sweet sounds of great Canadian artists with the perfect backdrop on the runway and Haliburton Forest!

Harvest Dinner

We are pleased to provide dinner on Saturday night with all the trimmings for our weekend pass holders. This means a Driver and Rig ticket includes one ticket for the Feast and a Co-Pilot ticket includes one ticket for the Feast. Saturday night dinner tickets for children must be purchased separately.
